- Along with the laboratory mentorship, I managed to develop an SDR-based wireless transceiver over the low-frequency band, providing the flexibility to switch among different linear and nonlinear modulation techniques with adjustable coding and mapping rates for various frequencies.
- I used GRC and MATLAB software, as well as Python programming, to design while employing USRP B210 modules to deploy and test in a lab environment.
Designing Adaptive IoT Wireless Transceivers with LoRaWAN, ZigBee, and IEEE 802.11 Standards

- For my final B.Sc. project, I designed and developed two wireless transceivers supporting LoRaWAN, ZigBee, and IEEE 802.11 (WiFi) standards to facilitate point-to-point communication of sensing data. One transceiver acts as a transmitter, while the other functions as a receiver. The communication standard is adaptively selected based on the measured received signal strength indicator (RSSI) at the transmitter side.
- I designed PCBs for the transceivers, programmed their ARM-based MCUs, and assembled electronic components. I also utilized the thinger.io platform to remotely display successfully received sensing data at the destination.
Prototyping for IoT-Based City Smart Bicycle System

- Attempting to found a start-up, we developed a prototype for a city smart bicycle system empowered by the IoT technology in which rental bicycles in an urban environment act as mobile nodes and are monitored in real-time based on their position and other information, which are communicated using onboard LoRaWAN modules and installed gateways around the city.
- This concept was an early iteration close to today’s Lime bicycles and scooters.
